Most insurance companies do have requirements of how many providers are on your group contracts. For example, if you have 20 people, then United will let you have a group contract.
Most of the time, the average number of providers is 10, but some insurance companies are looking for different types of providers. It really depends; however, if you are wanting to get your group name credentialed, you can, and then credential each individual underneath the group name so that every claim can be submitted with the same tax I.D. and the same name.
